Color pallettes will be discussed and studied that include Watercolor, Acrylic and pastel painting pallets. Members will produce a painting in each medium or the Medium of their choice, working with different pallets with the same picture. Warm & Cool, High and Low Key, tonal work, landscape vs. Portraits and Still life will be used. Picking the right palette for your painting is important.

From Theory to Practice
There’s a lot of Color theory to know but when it comes to choosing colors, understanding the theory behind color can do wonders for how you actually use color. this class is designed to give you a few extra tips for choosing colors:

Know the Difference in your color palettes for the appropriate picture you are doing..
Start with one color you like, with one color and build the color scheme from there. If you try and start with more than one color, you’ll have a harder time finding harmony between your colors. Save your color schemes.Practice makes perfect. The more you play with color and practice design, the better you get. No one creates their masterpiece the first time around.
