Customized Teacher Training for Born To Draw iBooks

Elaine Cimino Studios L.L.C. is offering teachers and home school parents the opportunity to learn traditional and digital drawing skills through a customized training session to demonstrate how the Born to Draw iBooks can be utilized in the classroom with core curriculum or with other activities that include digital media and the arts.

• We can customized training sessions to fit your needs ay a per person rate or a class rate.
• All classes require an iPad or iPhone to download iBooks in order to give you the ability to project on iPad, classroom monitor or projector.
• The Born to Draw iBooks download codes will be provided with the class (per user attendee).
• Availability of Digital Media Labs and other classrooms onsite or in Albuquerque considered.
• Onsite classes will have an additional charge for travel and accommodations considered in some cases.

There are 3 classes offered for professional development:

1. Born to Draw Custom Training with Traditional Art Materials max (10) students -$125 per person or customized quote for onsite classes. 4 students minimum. Materials Included. The iBook Born to Draw a Children’s Drawing Program will by provided for your iPad with a Digital Download Code. Taught by Staff

2. Born to Draw  Digital Drawing and creating Vector images max (10) students $130 per person or customized quote for onsite classes. 4 students minimum. Students need to bring  4G Jump Drives to class This class will provide attendees with Born to Draw vector drawings as .jpgs that will license you to use as learning resources. Taught by Staff

3. Born to Draw Customized Training Learn Animation with Born to Draw Projects max (10) students $130 per person or customized quote for onsite classes. 4 students minimum. Students need to bring  4G Jump Drives to class.  The ibook Born to Draw a Children’s Drawing for Holidays and Special Occasions will by provided for your iPad with a Digital Download Code. Some pre-made digital content provided in training. Taught by Staff and/or Available Digital Arts Instructor.

We can schedule a training site in Albuquerque or come to your onsite Digital Arts MAC Lab to work with the Adobe Creative Suite 4 or 5 in Flash and Illustrator and classroom for traditional arts classroom application.

Beginning Classes

Beginning Art Classes For Adults
If you want to learn the basics for learning to draw and paint these classes are for you. If you had previous experience but you still need a refresher on basic instruction and a solid foundation to build upon check Elaine Cimino Studios

Beginning Watercolor – for 18 years and above
This class covers the fundamental basics of watercolor, beginning Color theory, beginning Elements of Design, wet techniques and dry brush, and complementary effects with tonal washes. Class assignments include still-life from photographs and from observation. See Material’s List for Beginning Watercolor

Pastel Drawing – for 18 years and above
Pastel Drawing is a beginner’s class that teaches material the types of different chalk, soft and hard, materials, papers and pigments used in artwork using pastel. The Class starts with easy to do drawings and builds on each student’s ability to become proficient using this medium.

Drawing Basics I – for 18 years and above
Drawing Basics is a beginning drawing class that covers 8-weeks of classes and the fundamentals of drawing, 1-point perspective, Line, Texture, Form, Shape with a variety of media. This class covers positive and negative shape, composition and the elements of design

Drawing Basics II- – for 18 years and above
Drawing Basics II picks up from the prerequisite class and continues to explore concepts and techniques of drawing in another 8-week session. In this class you will learn 2-point and 3-point perspective. Most work is done in charcoal, pencil and ink washes.

Drawing for Holidays and Special Occasions for 18 years and above
This class is taken from the Born to Draw iBook Drawing for Holidays and Special occasion. This is for Teachers and parents who have little to no experience in drawing, to learn to teach this class to their children or grandchildren. The Classes will encourage building a small portfolio of images to make and use for handmade greeting cards.

Art Classes for seniors at the North Valley and Highland Senior Centers (Albuquerque, NM)

50+ classes and you must be a member of the Senior Center

Intermediate Classes

Mixed Media
This class explores a variety of mediums that create textures and a layer meaning within the artworks created along with assigned projects. This is way to let –go of the confines of what was previously learned and explores ways to break the rules of convention. Please bring to first class previous work that you would like to show.
