Drawing and Painting for Teens: Portraits (ages 12-14)

This class consists of formal drawing and painting instruction that explores the foundations and fundamentals of drawing in the morning and in the afternoon, painting what was drawn earlier in the day. Drawing from 3D objects will increase participants’ knowledge of the effects of light on form, volume and line. Students will work with still-life or portraits, start with simple materials and compositions, then move to more complicated media, exploring textures and concepts. This is a great class to begin studies in art or to improve drawing skills as we introduce master artists.

Learning to paint Wildlife is a fullfulling beautiful art form that provides a wonderful starting point for beginning artist. Children will learn how to draw and paint a variety wildlife. Any drawing that the student do in the previous class will help them start their paintings for this class. Children with practice basic drawing techniques, how to drawing and painting from photographs and learn how to paint with acrylics.

Pencil Drawing is beautiful art Form that provides a wonderful starting point for beginning artist. Pencil is a forgiving medium and the precision and control that pencil allows an make it an ideal for creating intricate textures and fascinating features of a variety of wildlife. Children with practicing basic drawing techniques, how to drawing from photographs and drawing animals in action.

Toon Time: Born to Draw Drawing Program (ages 7-11) At University of New Mexico Continuing Education

Zentangle Drawing Camp (ages 6-11) @ UNM CE
If you like to draw patterns or doodle, you’ll like “Zentangle” drawing, a fun, Zen-like way of creating images through repetitive patterns and shapes. With Zentangles, every mark you make is drawn deliberately and consciously. During this course, you’ll study symbols while making cool graphics with Zentangles. Note: A $15 materials fee will be collected at the first class.
